Ribbon cutting held for McKenzie Taproom

A ribbon cutting was held Thursday to celebrate the occasion. The taproom is located on 27 Broadway Street, bringing craft beer and curated food to the community.

West Tennessee Brewing shares that their mission is deeply rooted in bringing people together. By connecting agriculture, food, beverage and the culinary arts, the taproom aims to serve as a gathering place where community spirit thrives.

Co-owner, Anne-Marie Tanner, explains what brought their attention to McKenzie.

“We saw it was a very underutilized downtown, very cute, historic, clean, safe and we want to invest in those communities so that we can really take advantage of these rural downtowns,” said Tanner.

The vision for West Tennessee Brewing is to expand over the nine counties of northwest Tennessee, ideally seeing a taproom in every county.
